Maggie’s is a fantastic charity that offers free practical, emotional, and social support to people with cancer, and for their families and friends. Help is offered freely to anyone, with any type of cancer.
This charity sportive ride starts at the new Bart’s Maggie’s Centre in the City of London, before taking a scenic 120 kilometre route to the Maggie’s Centre in the city of Oxford, where you will be treated to a celebratory meal and champions welcome.
Riders in the event take part as a member of a team of five, or if you enter as a solo participant you will be teamed up with similar riders.
Participants in the ride are requested to raise £500 for the Maggie’s charity. This means each team will raise enough capital to run a Maggie’s Centre for a day.

Cycling sportive events like the Maggie’s to Maggie’s Ride are for enthusiastic cyclists, who enjoy having fun on their bikes.
At 120 kilometres, this is a moderate level ride, with some hills to conquer. Our Ride Leaders will do their best to ensure each group of 10 riders is kept together, and that groups reform at the top of climbs and descents. The focus of the event is on enjoyment and completion for all, so a pace that accommodates all abilities will be the aim.
When grouping riders our Velusso team will do their best to put riders of similar abilities together in groups. Please be honest about your riding experience and prior training, as it will ensure a more enjoyable ride for everyone.
Should you have specific dietary requirements, either for the feed stations, or for the post-ride meal, please make these known to a member of the organising team at least a week before the event, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
